With the 2021 season closing PGA NZ announced the winner of the Ramada Order of Merit for 2021 going to Josh Geary,
Geary had a stellar year both in New Zealand and abroad and his early season consistent results here in New Zealand soil paid off in what was a tough year for PGA NZ professional players.
Geary who sadly lost his Mum recently dedicated the award to her. “I’m honoured to win the Ramada Order Of Merit for the first time. It has been a tough year so to receive the great news of winning this award is a nice finish to the year. I’d like to dedicate this award in memory of my late mother Maree as she played a pivotal role in my golfing career and was my number one fan.
I would also like to thank Ramada for their ongoing support of PGA NZ and their loyalty to Golf in such tough times, it really makes a difference to the players having such support.”
Geary now takes a break before joining with fellow PGA NZ Professionals on the 2022 Pro Am circuit which kicks off in the New Year with the Cardinal Logistics Whitford Park Pro Am on the 15th January.
