Dan Pearce showed his classs and composure today to win the Barfoot & Thompson Akarana Open. This event is part of the Jennian Homes Charles Tour event series and Dan paid tribute to the sponsors at today's prize givingto the huge part that these events play in preparing our professionals and leading amateurs to perform overseas. Pearce scored 66,64,66,65 for an impressive 19 under par total and a three stroke advantage from the defending champion Gareth Paddison. Two amateurs finished in a tie for third, Kevin Koong and Eric Lee (Eric fired a course record 61 in the second round). Ryan Chisnall was the third placed professional.
