Held for the second consecutive year at the Manawatu Golf Club in Palmertson North. A huge Kiwi presence in the field this week including 8 of the top 10 NZers in the Official World Rankings. Headed by Mike Hendry, Ben Campbell and US based Manawatu boy, Tim Wilkinson. With 36 NZ golfers already in the field and a host more attempting to take the final spots through Monday qualifying, there’s a great chance of seeing a lot of local names on the leaderboard come Sunday afternoon. In saying that, this is arguably the strongest Australian Tour contingent to compete in the NZPGA Championship in recent years, with no less than 29 past winners on tour lining up.
