Dongwoo Kang won the Hellers and friends Kaikoura Pro am today in a sudden death playoff from Pieter Zwart. Both players finished with identical scores of 66-68 after regulation play and Dongwoo prevailed with a fine birdie at the first extra hole to claim his maiden tournament victory. John Bae, Luke Toomey and first round leader Martin Pettigrew tied for third place with a seven under par total of 137.
Winner of the PGA Professionals Championship with a total of 137 was John Bae from the Templeton Club in Christchurch. John will also receive an invitation to play in the 2018 Horizons NZPGA Championship at the Manawatu Golf Club
