PGA professional Craig Carrington with Ani Bahler, Rosetown Holden's Stu Tervit, Kevin Tuuta, Joe Tapu

This picturesque club held it's first ever Holden Scramble recently, supported by Stu Tervit from Rosetown Holden and PGA Professional Craig Carrington. Not a big field, but one to build on for the future, and based on the obvious enjoyment of all who took part, they will be back next year with a vengeance.

Victory went to a team from neighbouring Stewart Alexander Golf Club, Joe Tapu, Kevin Tuuta and Ani Bahler, with a 7 birdie-1 bogey round of 64 - 8.8 - 55.2. Visitors from Paeroa were second, Alan Mace, Richard Baker and Brenda Paul scoring 67 - 10.2 - 56.8. Only the winning team goes forward to the Regional Final at Taupo in October and Craig will be finding a PGA Pro to make up their team at that level.
